A SHORTS SIGHTED CRIMINAL - Eli Escalera made his way to a teller window with the shorts perched atop his skull and handed the clerk a note reading, "Give me what are 20s and 50s." The clerk, apparently a stickler for good grammar, asked Escalera what he was asking for, to which he replied "never mind" before fleeing. The bank manager called cops, who apprehended Escalera after a briefs ... er, brief chase.
