Detroit may have a reputation for violent mischief on Halloween, but New Year's Eve has become a nightmare for authorities in Los Angeles. A rash of late-night car fires in that began on Friday spread to different neighborhoods Saturday, bringing the total number of suspicious blazes to 40. Police are calling it the worst arson attacks in 20 years.
