A dozen members of a rebel Amish group in Ohio were indicted on charges for allegedly cutting the beards and hair of members of the Amish community, the Justice Department said yesterday. A seven-count indictment was handed down by a federal grand jury in Cleveland, charging 10 men and two women with conspiracy to violate a hate crimes prevention act as well as obstruction of justice.
